ACI World continues to work closely with the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and its other global partners as the industry plans its recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop.

The health and welfare of travellers, staff and the public, and helping to reduce opportunities for spread of communicable diseases, are priorities for the aviation industry.

ACI Airport Health Accreditation Programme

The ACI Airport Health Accreditation (AHA) programme provides airports with an assessment of how aligned their health measures are with the ACI Aviation Business Restart and Recovery guidelines and ICAO Council Aviation Restart Task Force recommendations along with industry best practices.

The programme is open to all ACI member airports of all sizes in all regions.

ACI Health Measures Portal

Learn more about the ACI Health Measures Portal project which aims to pull together in one place the new screening measures introduced at the world’s airports. The portal will allow airports to upload their new processes so that passengers can check what they will need to do when they travel through individual airports.

ACI World Updates and Advisory Bulletins

• ACI World’s bulletin highlights some of the key issues from the Manual on Testing and Cross-border Risk Management Measures for airports and provides support for discussions with regulators and government officials on the necessary steps and policies to enable the safe restart and recovery of the industry.
• ACI World has published an advisory bulletin on Airport Preparedness for Vaccine Distribution to support the work underway to respond to the rapid deployment of COVID-19 vaccines by the global pharmaceutical industry through the identification of some of the key challenges airport operators may face in this critical phase.
