Leadership Committee: Kyle Cummings

Kyle Cummings is the Director of Operations at the British Virgin Islands Airports Authority (BVIAA), where he provides executive oversight of airside and landside operations at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport. In his role, he is responsible for operational efficiency, safety management, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs). He also serves as Acting Airport Safety Manager, leading the implementation and continuous improvement of Safety Management Systems (SMS).

With over 15 years of progressive experience in the aviation industry across the Caribbean, Kyle has developed extensive expertise in airport operations, crisis management, and stakeholder coordination. Prior to his current role, he served as Duty Manager at the Airport Authority of Trinidad and Tobago, where he led day-to-day airport operations, airside safety oversight, and emergency response coordination with airlines, regulatory authorities, and security agencies.

Kyle holds a BBA in Business Administration and is a graduate of the Airports Council International–International Civil Aviation Organization (ACI-ICAO) Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme (AMPAP), a globally recognized executive development program for airport leaders. He also holds the ACI-ICAO Airport Safety Professional (ASP) designation, reflecting his specialized expertise in aerodrome safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
