Summary

The Portal Technologies Manager manages the development and maintenance of ACI World’s Portal technologies such as the Intelligence Hub (IHUB), various data capture tools and other business intelligence tools. The Manager is responsible for end-to-end project management for technology solutions deployed, from engaging with external service providers and contracted vendors to internal coordination with various departments.

Primary Responsibilities

Technology Management

  • Manage the development of information system infrastructures, such as server-client systems, databases, data warehouses, data lakes, ETL, API, and/or application integration; Be accountable for the management of various third party vendors.
  • Project management for day-to-day operations in the development of technology outputs, proof of concepts and large rollouts in collaboration with third party vendors.
  • Compile a strategic roadmap for the evolution of portal technologies, data capture systems and data visualization tools and other portal products, including budget.
  • Work closely with Product managers and subject matter experts to obtain feedback from users and other business intelligence to reflect on next developments required.
  • Ensure budgets are tightly controlled and ensure cost control measures across product lifecycles.
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements are closely monitored across ACI’s technology solutions.
  • Manage business requirement documentation that describes, and explains solutions attributes and associated features for a minimum viable product.
  • Converting complex concepts into simple English for everyone to follow
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Cross organisation and departmental support

  • Provide support and share expertise to other internal ACI World departments to ensure alignment and best leverage their expertise for the evolution of portal technologies and data capture tools.
  • Support and collaborate with the required ACI World teams in terms of alignment and integration of other portal initiatives (IT), Product management (Marketing & Commercial services), as well as validating quality of data and content (All programme areas).
  • Provide technical expertise and support across the organisation as needed – Handle and fix product errors and bugs with user acceptance testing (UAT) in coordination with subject matter experts

Qualifications, education and experience

  • University degree in a technical domain, Information Technology, Computer Science or Business Intelligence;
  • Minimum of 3 years project management experience in developing and implementing large-scale information systems including business intelligence tools;
  • Knowledge of cutting-edge information communication technology, cloud computing services (Azure), big data and machine learning, and BI (business intelligence) visualizations – Power BI;
  • Knowledge in developing information system infrastructures, such as server-client systems, databases, data warehouses, data lakes, ETL, API, and/or application integration;
  • Experience in managing the development of modern web-based data dissemination applications, electronic data capture tools and UX/UI trends;
  • Knowledge of secure by design development;
  • Experience in data analytics and data science an asset.
