The Assistant Manager, Sales and Events is responsible for supporting ACI World’s sales strategy and revenue-generating activities with a focus on sponsorships and events. Duties include soliciting sponsorships for ACI World events, products, programmes and services, liaising with the internal teams to assist in tracking objectives and deliverables, and identifying new markets, customers, and opportunities for delivering ACI World’s products to maximize revenue. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to assist the Manager, Events in tasks related to coordination of our global events.

I. Major Functions Responsibilities:

  • Working with internal teams to support sponsorship revenue targets
  • Managing and coordinating follow-up actions to signed advisory services mandates and sponsorship agreements, ensuring deliverables are met within the determined timeframe.
  • Answering customers’ product-related questions and queries promptly and collaborating and strategizing with internal teams.
  • Working internally with product teams to assist in promotion to customers, cross-selling products where appropriate, and meeting after-sales needs where necessary.
  • Identifying new market opportunities and forging relationships with key contacts.
  • Representing ACI at events to promote products and services to the industry.
  • Managing the webinar platform and working with internal teams to ensure successful sharing of knowledge.
  • Tracking advisory services sales progress and mastering the CRM as an integral tool in building business intelligence.
  • Supporting the Manager, Events in logistics and planning of events including liaising with suppliers, contract management, travel bookings, etc.
  • Provide other required support to the Programmes and Commercial Services team

II. Qualification and Skills

  • Higher education, preferably with specialization in communications, business or commerce studies.
  • Excellent English skills, with clear writing style is essential.
  • Additional languages: French, Spanish, for example, a plus.

III. Requirements:

  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) tools and practices a strong asset.
  • Teamwork skills, but with ability to work independently and assume full responsibility for assigned tasks.
  • A strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and ability to think strategically.
  • Superior organizational skills to carry out and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and aptitude for fostering positive relationships.
  • Teamwork skills, but with ability to work independently and assume full responsibility for assigned tasks.
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry would be an advantage.
