Brisbane artist in residence

In a unique collaboration, Robert Brownhall, one of Australia’s most renowned realist painters, has been chosen by Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) as the first artist for its new Artist in Residence programme. The role of the artist in residence is to develop a suite of sketches and paintings depicting everyday events, people, architecture and changes at Brisbane Airport (BNE). Brownhall’s artwork will be exhibited at the end of his 6 month tenure, wherein one piece will be chosen as the newest addition to BAC’s permanent art collection. BNE is proud to have one of the country’s largest collections of public art consisting of more than 100 pieces and valued at over AUD$10 million.
