ACI World Airport IT Standing Committee
The ACI World Airport Information Technology Standing Committee ensures airport interests are reflected in global policy development on airport IT, automation, telecommunications infrastructure, and passenger services.

Airport IT Initiatives and Tools
ACI World developed a practical set of recommendations to assist airports in building a Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan. These guidelines include a Top Ten set of actions for airports to consider and a set of pre-requisites, which should be in place before or in parallel with the response plan's development.
As part of ACI’s collaboration with the Aviation Information Sharing and Analysis Center (A-ISAC), ACI provides its members with the latest 2022 Cyber Risk Survey. The A-ISAC conducted its annual Cyber Risk Survey of member company Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and Chief Product Security Executives (CPSOs), or their equivalents, to identify their most pressing cybersecurity risks and challenges.
In response to the growing threat of cyber-attacks worldwide, our IT experts help airports understand their cybersecurity risk, improve protective measures, and build resilience through our Cybersecurity Self-Assessment Tool. This comprehensive tool provides airports with a snapshot of their information-security management strengths and weaknesses to help prepare for and mitigate cyber-attacks.
Based on international standards, this user-friendly tool provides recommendations on maintaining information-security management systems and helps airports measure progress and set realistic objectives.

ACI’s cybersecurity executive self-assessment questionnaire provides airport executives and airport cybersecurity teams with a snapshot of their cybersecurity posture.
The questionnaire includes 24 multiple choice questions that cover different airport cybersecurity areas such as how it is organized, the risks, asset management, business continuity, and the information security management system. Once completed, respondents will receive an automated score and a notification will be sent to ACI experts who will help assess the areas of cybersecurity that need improvement and provide airport centric information and support.
As the standard for information and data exchange in the aviation industry, ACI’s ACRIS program defines a framework for airports, airlines, partners, and suppliers to share data, business processes, and IT solutions across different companies and providers to foster airport efficiency and revenue growth.
Delivered in partnership with Airline Business and SITA, the survey tracks key technology trends and priorities for airports.
We work with IATA to examine how the customer experience will be transformed by new technologies over the next 20 years and find ways to ensure new developments enhance the passenger experience.
ACI has worked with Redwater Consulting Group to create a simple, excel based capacity tool in order for airports to plan for an increase in passenger numbers as the industry recovers from COVID-19 health restrictions.
