3rd ACI Environmental Seminar - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2014)

ACI's Third Environmental Seminar for airport operators in the Asia-Pacific and other regions was hosted by Malaysian Airports Holding Berhad and ACI. The comprehensive Seminar programme included sessions covering sustainability, industry partnerships, noise, emissions (local air quality and greenhouse gases), resource use and waste prevention, solid waste management and recycling, environmental management systems, and habitat and wildlife management. Presentations

2nd ACI Airport Environmental Seminar - Quito, Ecuador (2010)

This two day event hosted by Corporación Quiport S. A. highlighted approaches and practical solutions to the real environmental needs of the region and how ACI airports can assist the region and its environmental issues. The Seminar gathered airports representatives from ACI-LAC and other ACI regions, along with representatives from airlines, consultants and providers, as well as government officials from Ecuador. Topics included: sustainability, local air quality and greenhouse emissions, waste management and recycling, environmental management systems, and as case study, the construction of the new Quito International Airport. Presentations

ACI Airport Environmental Colloquium - Cairo, Egypt (2008)

ACI’s World Environment Standing Committee conducted a two day environmental colloquium hosted by the Cairo Airport Company and the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation. Over 150 attendees heard 19 speakers who covered a wide range of topics during 7 sessions. Most sessions included a speaker from the African region to provide the local perspective. All sessions provided both background information on the science and regulatory issues as well as practical case studies and advice for airport and environmental managers. Presentations
