Erika Jacinto joins ACI World as Head of Events and Communications

Montreal, 14 July 2016 – ACI World has announced the appointment of Erika Jacinto as Head of Events and Communications. Erika has a wide portfolio of responsibilities including the development of the long term strategy for ACI World conferences and exhibitions, and ensuring that the voice of the world’s airports is heard loud and clear in the aviation community and beyond.
Erika has more than 11 years of events management, marketing and corporate communications experience at national and international levels in the aerospace sector. She was previously the Senior Event Manager and Senior Consultant at Bombardier where she oversaw international trade shows and customer hospitality events and conferences at the business aircraft division.
Erika has a degree in Communications and Media Studies from the University of Lima in Peru and a Master’s in Business Administration with a Marketing focus from the John Molson School of Business in Montreal, Canada.
“ACI World events and conferences have become leading opportunities for finding solutions to current and emerging challenges, where all sectors of the aviation industry can unite to exchange insights into the latest trends, strategies and opportunities,” said Angela Gittens, Director General, ACI World. “Erika’s well-rounded experience in events, marketing and communications will contribute to our effectiveness and help us create new avenues for cooperation and collaboration.”
“Airports have been on my radar from a very early age and over the years I have seen how they have repositioned themselves as an integral part of the travel value chain and businesses in their own right,” noted Erika. “I decided to join the ACI team because I wanted to directly support its contribution toward ensuring a global air transport system that is safe, secure, efficient and sustainable. I am looking forward to contributing to the industry by further developing ACI’s events and communications initiatives.”
ACI is also pleased to announce the appointment of Sabrina Guerrieri as Manager, Communications. She will take over from Ryan White who has moved to a senior communications position at Toronto Airport. “I would like to pay tribute to Ryan who ably developed ACI’s communication’s strategy over the past two years and welcome Sabrina to this important role. She previously worked very closely with Ryan and ACI can be confident that its future communications are in good hands,” Gittens concluded.
